White Hill
these pictures show our approach to White Hill from the logging roads to the south. This route is an alternative (and shorter) route to the ones described in Not Won in a Day. It involves driving from the south or east on logging and winter-use dirt roads to Cheticamp Flowage [Lake], hiking or paddling across the lake, and hiking on an old but easy to follow fire road, to a point SE of White Hill. It is then a 1 mile bushwack to the summit, from the old fire road. This route is doable in a day for some. If you desire more detailed descriptions of how we successfully made the summit, please send $5 USD to Johnathan Esper, PO Box 326, Long Lake, NY, 12847, USA (check, money order or paypal to johnathanesper@gmail.com), and I will send you the description.
